BMW X1
The BMW X1 is a motor car that invites a period of quiet contemplation. BMW refers to it as a "Sports Activity Vehicle," which is a slightly over-enthusiastic term for what is, essentially, a premium family hatchback that has been elevated by a few inches.

Consequently, it is primarily front-wheel drive. For traditionalists, a front-wheel-drive BMW utility vehicle might seem a bit of a contradiction. However, in daily operation, it proves to be entirely agreeable.
